Van Saiyan / The Boston Globe / Creation Lake

Van Saiyan was commissioned by The Boston Globe to make an illustration to accompany a book review on Creation Lake by Rachel Kushner. It’s a fiction novel about an American secret agent who seduces her way into a commune of eco-subversives in the rural French countryside. Van enjoyed this project so much because he gave a film noir movie poster vibe touch to the final art.
