Joe was commissioned by Nieman Reports – a quarterly print publication founded in 1947 “to promote and elevate the standards of journalism.” The magazine cover and feature focus on how Donald Trump’s wild rhetoric has distorted the news media’s coverage of the US election to the extent that the full dangers he poses to democracy don’t get the attention they should.

Joe worked with the aesthetics old old-photocopy distortion techniques to explore the ‘warped’ theme and how the media coverage can end up exaggerating the nature of the candidates.
