Heidi has photographed world leaders including Vladimir Putin, Jean Chrétien, Fidel Castro, Bill Clinton and the Dalai Lama. In 1994 she began work as the first non-Russian photo editor at Pravda. Between 1999 and 2002 she published five books including The Russians Emerge. Her works have been presented in over thirty solo exhibitions around the world from Omsk to Los Angeles and can be found in the permanent collections of the Moscow History Museum, the Moscow House of Photography, and the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art.
